Thinking of You~

Good Morning blog friends. Happy Monday! I hope you all had a good weekend. My weekend went by way to fast. I found out on Sunday that my aunt was hospitalized in ICU with high blood pressure and a viral pneumonia and I have been worried sick and stressed out because I no longer live close enough to go visit her. She was the inspiration for my card today and I am going to mail this off to her in hopes that it brings a smile to her face and lets her know how much I love her...

My card size is a 6x6. I wanted to go a little bit bigger because of the sketch I used. Here is the sketch created by Dawny P

I used bright pink cardstock by Colorbok for my card base. The patterned papers are from MME's Bella collection. I used a little bit of Bazzill white cardstock for my first mat and used some of the pink cardstock for my other mats. I made the flower using my carnation punch by Ek Success and inserted a brad from American Crafts in the center. My sentiment was stamped on some Bazzill white cardstock using Momento tuxedo black ink. It is from Hero Arts. I also stamped out the little flowers and stems from the same stamp set and colored them with my copics, G21 and YR68. I finished off the card by adding some lace ribbon that I had in my stash to the bottom of the card base and created a cute little bow as well. The center of the bow was done using my YR68 copic marker.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Thank you for stopping by today!
Have a great day!!

Simon Says "Sweet Wonderful You"

Happy Friday blog friends!! Have you ever glanced at your "to-do" list and said to yourself " I have all week to get this done" and then before you know it, the week has flown by and you have not accomplished much?? Well that is what happened to me this week! LOL I had so much to do and unfortunately I'm behind. But today I am playing along with Simon Says "Anything Goes" challenge. So here is my card "Sweet Wonderful You"

My card today is a 5x5 Black Bazzill card base. I wanted to try the black on black tone and I liked how this came out with just a splash of color. My patterned papers are by Echo Park's This and That collection and MME's Kraft Funday Everyday Fun collection. My sentiment "Sweet Wonderful You" is from Paper Trey Ink's Handwritten Notes stamp set. I stamped this with momento tuxedo black ink and used my EK Success punch to punch it out and layer. I used some glossy accents on my sentiment frame to give it a little bit of a shine.

The doilies are from Maya Road and all I did was add a rhinestone in the center of each for a bit more color. I used some of Lawn Fawn's Lawn Fawn trimmings Cord in gray to wrap around the patterned paper and finished the card off by adding a few black pearls to the top of the card. Well I hope you enjoyed my card for today and thank you for stopping by! Have a great weekend!!!!!

I have a card to share with you that I made over the weekend and I used Dawny P's sketch and I am playing along with Simon Says Stamp Challenge this week. Here is the sketch and my take on the card:

My card is sized at 5X5 and I used Bazzill white cardstock for my base. The patterned papers are from American Crafts from their Adobe collection. The stamps I used are from Hampton Arts Footlongs stamps and I stamped them using my momento black tuxedo ink onto bazzill white cardstock. I colored my image in using my copics, G07,E18,E25,E29 and E33. The layers are all up on dimensionals and I cut the scalloped layers from my cricut using the Elegant Edges cartridge. I added a bit of Buttercream twine for a splash of contrasting color and inked my white layers in some fired brick distress ink. I finished off the card by doing some faux stitching with my white sakura pen.

Oh Happy Day~

Happy Saturday to you my blog friends! I hope your weekend is going good. We have another beautiful day here in sunny Texas so I've been enjoying the sun shining and the beautiful cool breeze. I was in my craft room earlier today and I made this card. I used the Mojo Monday Sketch #237 for my card.

I used Bazzill white cardstock for my card base. It is a standard A2 card. On my first mat, I used Colorbok earthtones cardstock and all the rest of the papers are MME On the bright side collection from the 6x6 paper pad.

I did some faux stitching around the blue and patterned papers as well as the circles using my white sakura pen. I inked up all my edges with antique linen distress ink. I used some brads from American Craft in the center of my circles. The sentiment is an actual stamp that says "Oh happy day" and this stamp is from MME Happy Days stamp set. I stamped this using my Momento desert sand ink.
Here is a picture of the inside where I continued the faux stitching and used the sentiment "Happy birthday to you" from the Birthday Greetings set from Hot off the Press.

I stamped this sentiment using a white ink pad I have from studio G. The inside picture was zoomed in too much with my camera that it looks off center but it's not lol. Well thank you for stopping by today, enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Congrats!

Hi friends, TGIF!!! This week has truly flown by. I don't know about ya'll but I'm so glad it's Friday! I have a light load this weekend so I anticipate creating in my craft room! Well as promised, I have another card for you today. I am entering this card in the Lawnscaping Challenge #32, Stamp a Scene challenge.

My card is a standard A2 card on white bazzill cardstock. I cut another piece of the white cardstock out at 4 x 5 1/4 and used my copics to make the background. The copics I used for this card are RV06, B52, YG06 and E07. I stamped out little banner flags from Dilly Dally stamp set by Making Memories and colored them in using the same copics that I made the background with and then using the same stamp set, I stamped the letters onto each flag spelling the word "Congrats".  I ran some twine that I got from the Twinery through a tiny hole on each banner flag that I made with my hole piercer and then tied a bow and added it to the top.

I stamped the cute whimsical unicorn and critter from Lawn Fawn's Critters Ever After stamp set, coloring them using the same copics and adding dots using my colorless blender. The critters as well as the banner are all on dimensionals for some more dimension. I added some black and white Washi tape to my edges. I like how the black/white tape frames the card. I finished the card off with some pink fluffy trim and some lime green trim from Webster's Pages. I am also entering this card in the Cardz TV Design Team Challenge #8.

Well that's my card for today, hope you have a great weekend and thank you for stopping by!

Live in the Moment

Hi there my blog friends! Sorry I have not posted since last week, soon as Easter hit I was sick and have not felt that great at all. I am on the mend and feeling a bit better today and I have a cute card I want to share with you. The Scrapbooking Queen is having a DT call so I decided to make this card as one of my projects for the tryout.

I made this card with my Pazzles Inspiration and used Bazzill white cardstock. I layered different sized circles that I cut out with my cuttlebug using the Spellbinder's classic circles nestabilities. The black paper is bazzill and the pretty pink patterned papers are from the Prima Almanac Collection.

The sentiment is from Hero Arts and the butterflies are a stamp from the new Pretty Momma stamp set from Paper Smooches. I stamped them onto the prima patterned papers and cut them out. The butterflies are on dimensionals and I folded the wings to make them look like they are fluttering. Aren't they cute?

I added in a doilie that I inked using some vintage photo distress ink to give a vintage feel and I used some platinum pearl liquid pearls to make my pearls around the card. I also used some of the liquid pearls on the butterflies. To finish my card off I added a rose flower from Recollections and a cute ivory sheer bow. Well that is it for today but I have a busy week ahead so more postings later in the week! Thank you for stopping by~

Mom- Flourishes Motherly Love

Good Morning Friends! It has been an all-nighter for me, no sleep and so wired so I had time to play in my craft room. Since Mother's Day is just around the corner (May 13th) I figured I would make a card to give to my mother and to take part in the Flourishes Motherly love challenge. So here is what I came up with:
My card base is a standard A2 size card at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I used white and black Bazzill cardstock. I created the background by using a floral stamp by Inkadinkado, inked it up with some Versamark ink and it left a pretty watermark. I used Forever Green, forever blue and forever violet Perfect pearls which gave me a beautiful resist and tone for the black background.
Then I stamped this beautiful butterfly stamp from the new Pretty Momma stamp set from Paper Smooches, again using the versamark ink. I then took some teal and hunter green PK glitter Glitz and covered the butterlies. Aren't they just so sparkly?

I stamped my sentiments(both on the outside and inside) with a white ink pad from studio G and with my sakura white gel pen, I made a few faux stitching around the butterlies and around the inside panel. The sentiments are also from the Pretty momma stamp set. I added a butterfly to the inside panel that I stamped on white bazzill cardstock, cut out and popped up with foam adhesive, to continue the theme from the front of the card. The ribbon I used was a small spool that I had in my stash. Well that is it for my card today, I hope it gives you some ideas for Mother's day! Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Florals stamp set by Inkadinkado

Happy Easter!

Hiya blog friends! Happy Hump Day! Can you believe how fast this week has flown by? It is so beautiful today, sunny and mid 80's but yesterday was a very scary day with all the tornados. On one hand I feel happiness that my home was untouched but then again, I feel sadness for all the homes that were destroyed. So to take my mind off the scary storms, I decided to get creative and make another Easter card. I used the Mojo Monday sketch #235 to build my card.

I had so much fun making this card, here is my take on the sketch.
My main focal stamp is a digital stamp by Pc Crafter. These little Easter pals are just so adorable! I put on a happy face while coloring these little guys in. I colored them in using my copic markers. I used Bazzill cardstock and the patterned papers are from the Sweet Summer collection by Colorbok. I made the sentiment by using two different stamps, the word "Happy" is from PTI's Handwritten Notes stamp set and the word "Easter" is from a dollar stamp at Michael's. I stamped the sentiment in Momento Rich Cocoa. I used the Martha Stewart Starburst border punch on the pretty yellow gingham paper and on the bottom of my card front.

I used some dew drops on the bottom of my card front along the punched border and in the center of the flower, some Buttercream twine, and a pretty pink stitched strip of Washi Tape that I purchased at Cute Tape to add more embellishing. I used antinque linen distress ink around my stamped image and I used some glossy accents on my flower that I cut out of one of the patterned papers. To finish it off, I used some faux stitching by piercing holes with my paper piercer and making my stitches with a white sakura pen. My favorite tool used with this card for the Simon Says challenge is starburst border punch. Well that is my card for today, thank you for stopping by!

Jinger Adams Design Team Call!

When I heard that the amazing Jinger Adams was looking for a some new designers, I could not pass up the opportunity to be apart of that! So this is what I created.

I figured Spring is here and Easter is next week so what better way to put a smile on someone's face than to give them this sweet basket full of tiny flowers that just screams SPRING! I sure hope Jinger likes this!!

The papers I used for this was Bazzill cardstock and "you and me" paper by Fancy Pants. I added a strip of Martha Stewart ribbon to the top of my basket handle and added a cute prima flower to top that off. I then added the two cute butterflies to the sides.

Well thats it for today! Hope you are having a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!
